Journal
I always get a new journal for every trip I go on, so I think that getting a new notebook or journal for Christmas is absolutely wonderful.
This journal from Amazon is so gorgeous, and it allows you to stay organised as well as documenting everything.

Kindle
If the person you’re buying a gift for is an avid reader, then a kindle is absolutely perfect. I personally use the Kindle Paperwhite and it’s my favourite so far. Be sure to check out this post on reading while travelling for more tips!

Scratch off map
I love seeing how much of the world I have travelled to. You can either get a huge one to put on their wall, or you can get a small, travel one.

Jewellery box
I personally don’t wear much jewellery, but I still kind of want a beautiful jewellery box! This one (pictured below) has sections for different types of jewellery and prevents necklaces from getting all twisted up.

Life straw
For adventurous travellers, the life straw is a necessity. It allows you to drink from running water safely, which means you don’t have to carry around huge bottles of water.

Portable charger
I go on about the Anker portable charger a lot because it’s my favourite travel item. They’ve got loads of different sizes and prices so be sure to find one that’s in your price range.

Neck pillow
Long distance travel can be pretty uncomfortable so a neck pillow, with the privacy of a hood, is a necessity.

Bluetooth speaker
Based on using my friends speakers, I have found that JBL is the best portable speaker. It’s a bit pricey, but they do have smaller ones which are of a lower quality.

Desk globe
I love my desk globe, it gives me 1800s travel vibes. However, you can get a super cool floating globe as well, depending on your taste.

Passport cover
Especially if you cross lots of borders, you’ll be seeing a lot of your passport so you might as well make it pretty and keep it safe with a passport cover.

Headphones
If you’re staying in hostels or undergoing long travel days, headphones are a must for staying entertained. I personally love these anker ones because they’re really good at blocking sound and they’re magnetic so they stay connected around your neck.

Backpack
I always have my valuables in my backpack, so I having a backpack to protect against theft is important. With all its compartments, this backpack is perfect for travel.

Selfie stick
As a solo traveller, taking photos of myself can be pretty difficult so a selfie stick allows for more flexibility.

Travel hammock
Sometimes you can only truly relax when you’re swinging in between two trees on a super comfortable travel hammock like this one.

Pocket knife
The versatility of the Swiss Army knife is perfect for travel, but be careful you don’t leave it in your hand luggage while going through security!

Joby Gorilla Pod
If you’re buying for a photographer, then the Joby Gorilla pod tripod is a must. The flexibility of the legs allow it to wrap around almost anything and keep the camera sturdy.

The Wordy Traveler Subscription box
This is a must have for readers! The Wordy Traveler makes you feel like you’re going on a new adventure every month and you get awesome merch.

Scrap book
For the artsy people, a scrapbook is perfect because they can compile a beautiful book of souvenirs and drawings and such.

Photo book
As a photographer, I take soooo many photos while I’m travelling so having a photo book is an awesome way of looking back on those memories. You can either get them one they can put the pictures in themselves, like this one, or you can get them a printed one from Photobox.

AirBnB gift card
If you want to contribute to someones travel costs, then an AirBnB gift card is the way to do it. This gives them the freedom to chose a place they like and allows flexibility for the dates.

Pocket printer
When I’m journalling, I love putting pictures and souvenirs in there, and Poooliprint do an awesome pocket printer so I can print my pictures from my phone.

Phone bag
I’ve seen a lot of these phone bags during my time in Amsterdam. They’re like an extra layer of protection for your phone but you can still use it while it’s in there!

Bag holder for under the table
I’ve also seen these mostly in Amsterdam, and my mum actually owns one. It basically stops you from having to put your bag on the ground and getting it dirty, instead attaching it underneath the table. I love this one because it’s got puppies all over it.

Travel tumbler
Not only are travel tumblers long lasting and good for the environment, they’re also fashionable and can be used all the time. I think they make the perfect gift!

Playing cards
I collect playing cards whenever I go to a new country (although I always seem to forget when I’m in Germany). I find that playing cards are a great way to pass the time, and they help you make new friends.

Luggage tag
One thing I love about luggage tags are how many different types there are. You can get pretty ones, funny ones, boring ones, metal ones, fabric ones. The list goes on and on so there’s something for everyone. And they’re just really useful as well.

Polaroid
Another must have item for those who love journalling, scrapbooking and having things instantly! Polaroids are such awesome presents because it means you can capture moments instantly.

Travel bottle set
The last gift idea I have for you is this travel bottle set! This is so helpful when you don’t want to take a whole bottle of shampoo on a weekend getaway. It’s not very glamorous but it’s super useful and I think that’s more important.

And those are all my recommendations for the best gifts for a traveller!
