I love birthdays! To me, they’re a special occasion that needs to be celebrated with your friends and family. This is the first birthday I have had in Amsterdam, and hopefully it won’t be the last because there is so many fun things to do here! So this is how I celebrated my 20th birthday in Amsterdam.
Also be sure to check out my post on Zandvoort Beach and Rotterdam zoo as these would also make great places to visit!
BEWARE!! This post is full of pictures bound to make you jealous 😉
The Upside Down Amsterdam
My friend told me this was like being inside of a unicorn, and I couldn’t agree more. The Upside Down Amsterdam is an instagram museum.
It is full of loads of funky rooms where you pose for pictures and interact.

There was a huge ball pit which changed colours! Honestly, once you were in there, it was practically impossible to climb back out again. It wasn’t too deep but you could fall into it and make the perfect video.
There were also other funky rooms, like ones upside-down (hence the name!) or they had a huge ice cream in it.
Have a look at the pictures below to see how I spent my 20th birthday in Amsterdam!
There was also a cafe in the entrance to the museum which served colourful cakes and drinks. I’ve included pictures of the menu below, but also get the link to the cafe here!
Scroll to see the unicorn cakes!!

This museum was so much fun, I highly recommend going. Even if you’re not an ‘instagrammer’, you’ll have so much fun here as you work out how to take the photos and dive into the ball pit.
Vegan Junk Food Bar
Be sure to subscribe to my blog as I’ll be posting lots more about Amsterdam, specifically the best vegan places out here. The vegan junk food bar will easily make the list!
We came here for lunch, and I had the best chicken and bacon vegan burger ever. And the best part? It was pink!

The rest of the afternoon (which was only a couple of hours) was spent sorting out my photos for the day.
We then had an early dinner!
The Meatless District
This is another fabulous vegan restaurant in which I had a lasagne and a triple chocolate cake.

It was super cute here! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and to top it off, there was a really cute dog.
